The Society offers two scholarships for college students.
H.O.P.E. Scholarship
Society members, or an unmarried child or grandchild of a member who is working toward a degree in a disability-related field can apply for the H.O.P.E Scholarship. The scholarship committee awards up to two scholarships each year through the SHC Endowment Fund. The scholarships for 2021 will be in the amount of $1,000. This is a one year, non-renewable scholarship. Sharon and Kristine Dunham Scholarship
Non-traditional students who are seeking a degree in any area of study may apply for the Sharon and Kristine Dunham Scholarship. The Dunham siblings established the scholarship in 2014 to honor the memory of their sisters. The scholarship committee awards one, $1,000 scholarship each year. This is a one year, non-renewable scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and meet the application criteria for a non-traditional student. Applications and Deadlines
The scholarships are awarded at The Society’s Annual Meeting. The 2021 deadline to apply is March 26, 2021. Interested applicants must complete the appropriate scholarship application form above or request application by calling 330-722-1900 ext. 196 or email [email protected] .
