The Link Day Program is a social, recreational and educational day program that provides new and meaningful experiences to adult individuals with developmental disabilities with primary emphasis on the development of skills that facilitate community integration. Focus is placed on employment development as well as leisure interest allowing the individuals to be broadly prepared for living a quality life in their chosen community.
- Follows a curriculum-based model offering courses in art, music, computers, cooking, physical fitness, community awareness, vocational skills and more.
- Courses focus on individuals’ interests with an emphasis on personal growth, employment skills and community involvement.
- Courses instructed by highly-trained staff, along with professionals in the areas of music and aquatics for programs like music enrichment taught by a licensed music therapist.
The Link participates in many off-site programs including Jazzercise and Martial Arts. Individuals also volunteer at their local Aktion Club, a Kiwanis program for adults with disabilities, and on the Square in Medina in collaboration with Main Street Medina.
